When working on ideas for camouflage pieces I am always interested in the juxtaposition of two contrasting objects, images, or ideas, so that the difference between them are emphasized. For this one-of-a-kind piece, I chose a turquoise textile reclaimed from an African dress and the orange embroidery thread to create a beautiful contrast against the desert camo. 

It was hand-embroidered by Paula Rivera during 40 hours of craftwomanship in Medellin, Colombia.
