Gontovnik
Tokyo Unisex Jumpsuit
I designed this green military jumpsuit by adorning the front with flowers reclaimed from a dress and faces cut from a pant, all with an Oriental feel, and placed the gardening motifs cut from a piece of fabric I was given, in the back. Placed some leather circles and flowers in the eyes for fun, and cut some eyelets to give it a more street vibe. Decided on neon embroidery thread in the front and blue in the back.
It was hand-embroidered by Luz Marina Araque during 43 hours of craftwomanship in Medellin, Colombia.
All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind, designed by repurposing materials and supporting craftwomanship. Find out more about my story here.
